When you begin to work in different mediums you start to see things in ways you never have before.
Similar to life, in this 'Beautiful Imperfetion' live collage art piece, there are fragments that stand alone, but come together to form a piece in the whole. The actual process of creation is connected with and a reflection with how our life and our life's story is created. And the purpose or lack of purpose in which we live. While this part of the experiment was focused on self – it still reveals and proves to us that even something so personal to one individual has a broader connection to all. If only we can see it at the times we need to the most.
The focus was on self – expressing through an art piece that was delivered in a medium and in a way that was the most natural to who I am. The unexpected reveal through the process of creation was the extent I was held back – by my self. Mainly due to my own disassociation of what it meant to be an artist. Caused by the lack of examples I had seen or had an awareness of that related to me.
What the camera didn't see. When we set out to do something important, filled with purpose, it means so much that at times we lose perpsective. As a result of the conditions of which we are living or from having a single focus of the outcome. We end up disconnected from life’s coordinates. Temporarily, we can lose who we are in the process. For better or for worse.
The beauty of the 'Beautiful Imperfection'experiment was made from the the strangers that were involved and the connection found.
